Slashdot has an interesting link to a story on the top 10 worst Apple products of all time. Worth a look.
The top ten, for those that can't be bothered to scroll through the article, is reproduced below, after this completely unrelated image:

Top 10 Worst Apple products of all time
10. QuickTake (1994) - Digital camera
9. Pippin (1995) - Games console
8. iPod Hi-Fi (2006) - Speaker dock
7. PowerPC (1994-2006) - seems like a silly inclusion to me. It's a processor, not an Apple product (although Apple were involved in its development) and for a long time was seen as superior to Intel.
6. Mac OS9 (1999) - Operating system
5. eWorld (1992) - Apple's limited 'walled garden' internet (only $8/hr!)
4. Macintosh Performa (1992-97) - Desktop computer
3. 'Hockey Puck' Mouse (1998) - unusably round mouse
2. 20th Anniversary Mac (1998) - $9,000 'special edition' mac
1. Apple III (1980-84) - the mac that finally lost the war to IBM compatible/MS-DOS PCs
Surprised there is no Apple Newton on the list - I always thought that was widely seen as Apple's biggest failure, but maybe the iPad has led to a surge in nostalgia for Apple's first touchscreen device.

Agree that Power PC is a silly inclusion. Its not even an Apple product really, it was a joint venture between IBM, Apple and Motorola and lives on in Xbox360's amongst other things.
Newton is a surprising exclusion. The Apple Lisa was another big failure.0 -
Would have also liked to have seen iTunes and QuickTime on the list, both hugely bloated slow beastspoppy100

Actually I don't mind either - on my Mac
Windows versions however are most definitely bloated resource hogs.. 0 -

:T Hear, hear. Avoid QT like the plague and use Songbird, even though it was a bit glitchy in its initial iterations.Would have also liked to have seen iTunes and QuickTime on the list, both hugely bloated slow beastsMy very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
I don't agree with everything on there, but by and large it's a good list.
I remember having to use Performas in school with the awful At Ease desktop (which should have been on the list).
The Newton wasn't a failure and in many ways was just ahead of its time (as this article demonstrates). Its development led to Apple's development of the iPhone and now the iPad.
Also, I totally disagree that QuickTime and iTunes should be on there. QuickTime was massively influential in the development of digital video, and it still is; the mp4 file format is based upon QuickTime. And I don't see how QuickTime could be considered by anyone to be bloated.
And iTunes is a fantastic application if you have the good sense to use a Mac.

The worst product that they currently sell has to be their keyboards; a definite case of form over function, where the Enter key has been chopped off so that it fits into the layout neatly.
The Newton was a forward-thinking machine that failed not because it wasn't good, but because it wasn't worth the money they were asking.0 -
Anything with a battery you can't replace.
Oh, hang on, that's everything.:(
Unrelated image? Boxxy is always related.Out on blue six..
It's Chips and Jackets, Peas and Trousers.0 -
3. 'Hockey Puck' Mouse (1998) - unusably round mouse
