Do you use the wap on your phone? If so what do you use it for? Does it cost much? and can you do online banking with a wap phone?
I came into this world with nothing and I'm gonna leave with nothing.

Yes - all the time!! I have a sony ericsson w800i and have installed the Operar browser on it from mini.opera.com. I use it for:

    1) synchronising my yahoo email
    2) using WAP to get the news and latest train times
    3) browsing the web, mostly my ebay onthe opera browser
  • Yeah - I use it as well! Normally to waste time when I'm bored on the train or waiting for something... I always regret it l8r tho when I see how much it cost me! It's much slower than my PC but thats understandable. I wouldn't recomend banking - why not use a computer? Easier and Faster (and plus using WAP is quite frustrating.

with T-Mobile sign up for web'n walk and it is something like £8 per month unlimited use
  • I use it all the time, i get a few hours of free useage on my O2 package. I use it for yahoo email, train times, london underground info, browsing the news. Haven't tried mobile banking, but i don't do internet banking yet.

Now i've got my 3G K800i (hmm nice phone) i can browse WAP at super-fast speeds, even downloading video clips from the BBC WAP-site.

Sensationally useful and not too expensive. With "3" I pay £2.50 a month for unlimited use. Thet do set a data limit but you could never get near the limit. You have no choice but to pay the £2.50 either - otherwise you cant use WAP. With previous providers it was not too expensive either.

    I use it for:

    Checking News
    Playing Eastenders Quiz on BBC
    Bidding on eBay
    Checking cricket and football scores.
    Watching free videos
    Chatting in a chat room
    plus many other uses
