hi rachaelfleur
how are you feeling this morning? hope you had a good nights sleep and have a clearer head .
the post above looks promising, fingers crossed for you that it is plain sailing from now on
maybe you could ask them to reconnect the power in the tunnel while your at it so you can turn the light back on? x lol
(sorry if too soon for humour? ment with good intentions x)0 -
hi rachael,
sorry to hear of your dilemma!
we had a similar problem with scottish power and we owed them £760 and they were about to fit a prepayment meter,we explained that we both had lost our parents over a four month period and the funeral expenses had totalled just short of £16000 , they were very helpful and after explaining that we did not want a meter they accepted a payment plan to reduce debt over a year. i know your position may be different but i would try to call them and explain your position. With a bit of luck you will get to speak to someone with a bit compassion and be reasonable with you.
good luck0 -
If you would like me to look into this for you then send me your details and I will see what I can do for you.
Kind Regards
Colin @ ScottishPower
Good for you, Colin; a nice touch.0 -
Wow, you're a truly amazing person and I thank you for helping me. I will private mail you with my details (once I figure out how to do it). The tears are streaming down my face right now but not out of sadness for a change but of joy. I just can't believe how many good people there are on here.Hi rachaelfleur
Sorry to hear about the upset caused at this difficult time. Please be assured that you can speak with us to resolve this matter amicably.
It is very strange that you have written to us on so many occasions without a single reply. If we have received your letter and not responded to it then you are entitled to a guaranteed standard payment of £20.00.
As you are obviously online, the best way for you to communicate with us if you do not like talking on the telephone, is to send an email. This way you can keep a record of all the information you give to us. Your email will be responded to within 5 working days (normally much sooner than this). The email address is:
customer.services@scottishpower.co.uk
The first thing that we need to arrange is an account for you so that you can set up a plan to pay for the gas and electricity you are using and then take it from there. I would do this as soon as you can. If no payment arrangement was put in place, I doubt that we would disconnect your supply, instead we would install prepayment meters to cover the gas and electricity being used and to clear a percentage of the debt each week.
If you would like me to look into this for you then send me your details and I will see what I can do for you.
Kind Regards

I'll be so glad when one day I can live a normal debt free life! I work all the hours god sends and don't reap the benefits of it. It's all entirely my fault and I'm paying for my own stupidity but I must admit most of my debts came from when I was a student and unfortunately students can get access to lots of credit! Something I now think should be regulated to stop situations like mine. I was never taught properly about money cause my parents never had any when i was a kid. I think money management should definately be part of school education, best time to learn. Unfortunately, I'm only learning now, but hey at least I'm learning. One day my money will be mine!Do what you want because in the end people will judge you anyway.0
