Good point C, my OH has just gone over the pub again and I couldn't afford to go. Plus Corrie is on tonight and I would rather stay home and watch that - sad, sad, sad!

I went to the pub on Friday... have hardly been at all since I started debt-busting in earnest - and bl**dy hell, have I paid for it! 2 days and my head is still protesting!

I am hppily curled up in frint of the TV, looking forward to watching Great Movie mistakes and only drinking tea!

RMC - hope you survive the week :)

    Hello chums!

Thank you so very much for all the messages, it was lovely to steal a few minutes and read them!

Our guests are going tomorrow morning - to our other SIL, who came to visit on Easter Sunday and offered to have them wed and thurs! It has been fun!

MSE - nothing on ebay, everything that was on sold for a massive £20, yes Ms HWG I have noticed your total - amazing and as someone said - £200 and that was on the 5th! Need to remove the finger once again. Spent a reasonable amount, had budgeted for their visit and did come in under budget, so thats a good thing.but need a few days to play with the figures. DH is overspending from business big style, I need to get that under control PDQ!

Two offers for missold PPI - one from First Direct and one from Mint, again haven't had the time to really study their offers (about £400 in total) but they look to me to be part settlement, anyone else been offered same. I am thinking I should as for full settlements. Whatever I get goes to Ricardo anyway.

Got rates bill today - £700 paid x10 at £70 (But then you probably could work that out for yourselves! Sorry) This is the first year I haven't paid it in full so it does feel like a bill but there you go, I will appreciate not having to pay it Feb and March next year.

Will catch up with everyones diary tomorrow night when I am home alone :)

PS DID NOT SMOKE. She smoked around me the whole time so I think I did exceptionally well but lets not get too cocky yet!

  • Well done on not smoking and putting up with SIL. It was pretty cruel of her to smoke around you knowing that your giving up but you showed her - go girl!

At least the entertaining of in-laws is over with for the time being and you can chill out now x
