So I have painted bathroom - first coat but will have to buy another tin :( He has gone to get tiles - £4 per box - you can just imagine the quality of the plain white squares!! But as mentioned previously it is a 'make do' job for a few years until we can afford to replace suite.
I can't see us ever leaving this house as DH has converted garage into a bakery and thus works from him.

Got paid - thank God. But dont want to transfer to CC yet just in case Halifax do not change mortgage payment to interest only. Got to the end of the month with some of my o/d left - amazing and I can't remember that ever happening.

Currently doing meal planning/shopping list as going to a work meeting (yes I am off but this meeting is v important and by being there today will hopefully cut out extra work in the future) and there is an Asda and Lidl in the the town I am going to (nearest supermarket to me - 18 miles away!!)

Do you all plan every meal or just most?

Happy Wednesday to all and esp IMD who gets the 'its just not fair' award for this week (and who will undoubtabley get the 'overcame adversity' award next week.

The £4 per box of plain white tiles will look the same as £10 per box ones once they're on the wall!

Wise move to hang on and see if they have changed your mortgage to interest only - I don't trust companies anymore!

I meal plan everyweek - I have also been convereted to the 4p Tesco Value Curry Sauce, how the hell can they make it so cheaply?

  • Yeah I meal plan every week as well. I tend to shop for 7 meals and then decide on the day which meal we're going to have.

Am looking around my house and it looks as if I've been burgled, how on earth can a 12 year old make so much mess? Off to colour my hair (very money saving bought 2 dyes on offer a few months ago) and whilst hair colour is developing I'll scrub the bathroom, hopefully I'll scrub so hard that my fat will wobble too LMAO.....

Thank you honey :) To add to my woes the boiler has died too, I might make it sit in the car and they can talk together about making my life hell and perhaps put a copy of the gas bill in there for good measure?

I (read OH) meal plans until he burst and just buys what we need and it really does seem to work. We rarely go to the shops mid week unless it's a chocolate fix and we are only going over the £70 food budget but a couple of pounds every week, compared to the regular £100 weekly bills.

Hope the Halifax have done their job and changed the payments for you. Richard will miss you you know and try and entice you back......

Oh and the tiles thing, we bought expensive ones for the bathroom and not so for the kitchen and they look exactly the same! Good grouting does wonders!
