Thank you Herewego - it is sould destroying and made worse by the fact that it is only OUR fault - unlike you who were out of work for a while.
Managed to get back on Ebay today but will check out the cookies for the next time.
Today - paid friend back £10, £10 fuel and of course the obligatory 10 fags!! (better than 20, the angel on my shoulder tells me)
DH ran out of diesel today and had to scrape together £7 - and people think we are rich- lmao. But at least when I got home he had thought of some more stuff to ebay - just has to put it on now.
I am sure I will rant again before the night is thru'LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

I know what you mean about people thinking your rich but one day we will be just you wait and see, as you can tell im having a postive day today but it's not always like that.
Well done on the listings im going to try for a few more tonight but i feel like my evening are spent reading diaires and refreshing my ebay page.
DH is a smoker 40 a day and im a reformed smoker ( i know they are the worst) but trying to get him to give up by telling him how bad he smells and to keep away from menot worked yet but I bet he breaks first and tries to give up. £10 a day off my debt instead of up in smoke this debt busting could be so easy.
Good luck if your trying to give up but remember you have to want to i tried everything then one day just said thats it that was over 6 years ago you will only be more stressed if your not ready
Opps just realised im rambling sorryMARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035

You are not rambling - and yes I am stressed, so very very stressed (DH said when I got in from work - why no makeup - I replied I am wearing makeup, he said 'you must be stressed you are soooo pale! Duh!)
I need to stop not only for my health but most importantly I cant afford it and it would be £35 more a week towards debt. I haven't even accounted for it in SOA - so really the £200 food budget that I need to cut is really £140 on fags (or it would have been if I had ever bothered to count how much we spend on food etc)
My aunt is taking Champix (a tablet well talked about on stop smoking thread) and I today made appt with GP to discuss that. Tried before but willpower = zero. But that is no excuse.
Question to all kind peeps who read my carp - music magpie v ebay v amazon - what do people think? I know music magpie doesn't pay great but it is free p&p and its instant.LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

Hi Red i find amazon excellent!!x0

Hi RMC..re selling music CDs we found Amazon the best although tbh not done for a while.
Re whether you hit savings or get together pots..given the stuff you're facing and the really demotivating bank charges etc I really think you should hit all the debt you can as hard as you can. but you're right in your first post you'll find it really hard unless your OH can stop seeing cash flow as an embarassment - course its easier not to ask for COD or for unpaid debts (maybe I am being unfair but its a hard but necessary part of running a business) - but otherwise the shops are treating you as an overdraft facility (and you're probably givng them better terms too!)
I kow that relationships are everything in business but I suggest you phone and give them a warning and say that if they don't pay then you will be sending a letter before action to claim what you're owed. My guess is that at least some of them will pay up pretty promptly.
Anyway am here rooting for you so will pop in from time to time!!MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

hi RMC, just spotted your diary, but have seen you on another thread. Just thought i'd say welcome and good luck. Back in Mar 06 i joined with pretty much the same debt as you. I was lucky that i hadn't missed payments but i had reached the end of my credit lines and everything.
You were asking about the savings pots for annual bills, i personally think that if i hadn't always had pots of money like this then i would have really ended up the creek. My question was always... how would i pay for it if i don't save little bits towards it? if the answer is put it on a card, or pay that instead of paying a different bill/CC then it's not sustainable (or it wasn't for me anyway)
looking forward to following your journey on here.0 -
Lemon Tree - thanks for coming over to chat.
My God haven't you done well - you are more than getting there.
Re Pots - yes you are right but at the minute I am not sure where this months payments are coming from and I think if I can work like billio to get those sorted then off to the pots with me I think (sounds like its off to lock up for me- sometimes it seems a good alternative)
I look forward to the day when I can make all minimum payments!LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

Yeap you are right and he is now asking for COD on new shops - but major local supermarket chains wont do it and by God I know why they declare large profits - cuz of the wonderful terms they are getting from little businesses like us!:(
EG Today I get a cheque, which I have called about 5 times - they pay Oct and Nov but dont bother about Dec and Jan! So I called them, very pleasant and explained that I know times are hard etc etc but we are in same boot and suppliers need paid etc......he said he would 'look at this week'
See previous post re pots and saving - you read my mind
