Isn't funny how instead of dreading statement from B**tard cc companies you want them to come so you can update your spreadsheet! - well thats how I think anyway!

DH bought me 3 bottles of wine from Lidl (I asked for 3 for £10, which he couldn't find!) and a bag of cadburys' mini bars!! (yum, yum) all of which were in the nicest gift bag he has ever bought (being a bloke, he paid ZERO attention to wrapping, which is my big thing) and do you know that bag and the thought due to no pennies made it the nicest thing he has ever bought me - simply because I know he spent so long trying to make it lovely! Now you don't know me well, but I think I have expressed my lack of sentimentality and eagerness to blame rather than acknowledge his good points so you will know that I really am truely chuffed. He on the other hand, said he wanted to buy me an ipod to download all the cd's I have sold and 'feels bad' that he didn't have any money!!!

Off to mum's to meet up with siblings and eat lasagne - yummy! - this evening after rugby when we will lift the Triple Crown once again!! They, I think, are giving me money for extortionate (?sp) haircut with great stylist. I tried to suggest my regular hairdresser but my mum says I need a treat for all my hard moneysaving? debtpaying! Don't you just love parents!!

Car insurance due in May/June I think, well if I got of my fat birthday !!! I would know what month it is due but for the purposes of this post not a necessity.

23.5% for paying monthly - so I am thinking a smarty pants would leave their ebay in paypal (which is annoying cuz I just love sending it to Richardo) to cover cost of insurance and then I would not have another ddm coming out of account!!

In previous years I paid with 0% cc with the notion of paying it off before deal ran out and sure we all know how well that worked :(

£237.28 from Post Office plus £25 cash back thru quidco.

Have located £68 in loose change stash - unfair amount because raid DH pockets and that should really be business money - but if you snooze you loose!!

£170 to find and thats that sorted and hopefully no lose to Richardo termination either!! And most importantly no addition to debtums!!

Well done Mrs! I sorted out car insurance last night and paid it in whole, got £55 back on quidco and so about £170 which I was pleased with and start saving for the next time it's due. I think it is the being able to start putting money aside and that only tends to happen when DD's start to come down.

I think it's extortionate how much they charge you for credit on the car insurance over 12 months and I bet so many people don't know about this either if they don't look properly.

Think you truly deserve the extra special haircut - enjoy it!

£55 - who is the insurer - seems post office or M&S are my best offers. However Top Cash Back seems to pay 35% as opposed to Quidco paying 25% for M&S insurance.

You are right it is extortionate how much they charge and I am embarassed to admit that I was probably one of those suckers who never even noticed how much it cost - but no more, I tell you, no more and esp since I am not an adult of 42!!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY RMC XXX
You def deserve the treat for your birthday.
You are doing fantastic on the debtbusting...all insurances tend to charge a credit charge but 23.5% is extortionate. The best thing I ever did was to pay mine in full as it saves laods and of course doesn't need a DD either.
Well done on the e bay sales and what you have found towards the insurance so far.
