Thank you all!
So today is the last day of our financial year - and what a year it has been!
We started with our heads firmly stuck in the sand with no idea of what we were in! Then the light came on and we dived for cover. A few days/weeks later I poked my head out and there it was - the lightbulb glowing in the corner!! The rest you have been part of and once again, from the bottom of my heart I thank you for every single post........................couldn't have got thru the 'champagne moments' without them!
I will work out at the weekend exactly what income was for the year and also what the final total debt is. However, I cannot express how good it is to know that we have NOTHING hanging over us business wise. All debts are paid or managed with a payment plan. We have of course, got an overdraft but business wise that is not a concern and never will be. Of course, not to be at the max almost daily will be good too.
So what for 2010/2011........................the universe will be showing me how to acquire a new van which we need by August 2011. A regular income for DH from the business will also be a feature of this wonderful year, which will of course allow me to budget and as a result manage personal debt more affectively and of course reduce it. I will wait to make a plan and target for personal debt until Jan 2011.
Much more importantly I am looking forward to 2011 and not dreading it. Yes of course there will be challenges but we will cope and we will cope with style!!!LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

So personally.
We finished the month, with everyone paid..........and thats a first (of many, hopefully)
Lost 3.5lb at WW - total 9lbs - well chuffed.
Went shopping (first time in an age) and now I feel guilty.
I bought some stuff in Primarche (sister calls it that) for DH - tee shirts he desperately needed for work, tights and PJ's for me. Also I can now be knocked down and not worry about the state of my undergarments. Total spend £35. This will be offset by work reimbursing me for professional fees (£30) and friend giving me back £15 she owed me.
Then I went to T K Maxx and it went wrong - two pairs of Fenn Wright and Mason trousers £90 to £19.99 each. A long cardigan/jacket - £30 and a red jacket £30 and a Smedley Sweater - £120 to £20 and a red belt...................the only thing I 'needed'! So what do I do...................£125 spent. Can I afford it............I can never afford it! Will I find the money...............I always find the money.LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

Hi Red
Hurrah for reaching year end in good shape.
You should be so proud of yourself for sticking with it throughout the hard times and not giving up.
2011 can only get better for you xxxLBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)
Barclays: £2,928.34 Lloyds: £2,499.60
MBNA: £3,788.99 Overdraft: £1,900.00 Mum: £1,738.00
Surveys: £6.60/£40.000 -
As DH will be getting a regular income this year from the buisness, just tell him that you have spent the first bit on clothes for the both of you (remember you did get him a T-shirt)Mortgage Aug 12 £165K, Aug 19 £0
ISA challenge start 2019 £3000/£1500 (50%)0 -
True Radish - he actually got 6 £2 tee-shirts.
However I have reflected on my purchases - I am taking everything but the red jacket and the belt back. The other jacket is ok, just ok so I know I wont wear it enough. The trousers, I love but they are too tight at the moment. Now when I lose another 7lbs they wont be but when I lose another 7lbs I can go and look for more trousers plus we have extra pennies in November. The Smedley jumper is crew neck thus reducing what I can wear it with (better if it were V neck). So means I only will have spent £34.
Plan for today is to go for a 4 mile walk with dogums, clean the oven hood and the car. Plus the usual washing, vacuuming etc. Tomorrow I need to work on the books for month/year end.
Hope you are all wellers!LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.
