  • Oh Red, I know EXACTLY what you mean. I feel like I am finally get there with the monthly budget to enable us to actually pay off more than the minimum per month (well a £5.00 is a start! lol!) and today my car broke down on the drive and got towed to VW on the back of a flatbed :( I am still waiting for them to get back to us with what is wrong with it, but I have a gut feeling its going to be expensive - so weight watchers wise, I had a good day, I think I can pretty much eat what I want to today with all those activity points earnt having to cycle to work - I actually thought I was going to pass out :o And when I eventually did turn up, I was a sweaty, greasy, wheezing mess :p

Doh to the cheque! one of those lesson learnt moments I guess!! I too am changing my account from the royal bank of mum to a more mainstream one. felt so guilty and am only now paying her back!!!

    :heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:
  • I have also had to depend on the Royal Bank of Mom in the past. My ambition is that when I have eventually cleared these debts, I will somehow repay her with a fab gift or holiday. Mom was 80 last month and still does loads for me (baby sitting as well as banker!) I do what I can for her now, but I know that she will be thrilled when I am one day in the black!!!!

  • Mine too Cialilerin - sometimes I think she worries more about our debt than me (and she doesn't know the full story!!)

Sadly no VAT payment yet - not great since I phoned to remind accountant last Monday and it is now 22nd!

However, we have survived and thats what counts!

  • I hate cars/vans etc. They all cost a fortune and only ever break down at the worst possible time! Having said that couldn't live without my car!!
