I was wearing flip flops and I think it fell on my foot, I really have no idea how I did it, but am I glad my toenails were short or else I would have ripped my leg off!

I am normally not at all squemish but this has taken me to another dimension!

I always wear slippers/FitFlops in the house, so that' now made me feel a bit bleurgh about the prospect of hoovering in them. I'd never thought twice about it, before.

Ah well...I can always sculpt my own acylic nail if the worst comes to the worst! :rotfl:

I was actually glad that I was sitting down when I read about the toes. OOOOWWWWWWWW! That must have been so painful. I hope that they are feeling better today. I take it you have checked that you can move them, ie that you haven't actually fractured a bone too:eek::eek:?

Well done on finding the £20. I found a tenner the other day, which will be some extra spends for when we are next in the UK.

Thank you all for your sympathy - that ended pretty quick at home!!

Slept ok but still cant put any pressure on it - think I have broken my second toe, which I have done before and there is nothing to be done except strap it to the other toe, which I will do later. I dread changing the dressing because it is still making me feel sick.

So another day working from home, but this wasn't planned so of course is a bummer.

Money wise - all calm on the Western front!

Just re-dressed it and its ok - no worse and seems to have stopped bleeding so just need to keep it clean and hope no infection, with get DH to pick up some antibiotic cream today.

Strapped them both together so that should help.
