easy street now for a week, two biggish chqs arrived yesterday and will clear tomorrow, which means everything covered for next week. I am resisting the temptation not to pay something but thats how I get into trouble. I jump to pay a debt and then leave myself nothing for 'expenses' and then have to go to my friends peter (and rob him while he sleeps) and paul (who always seems to want paying!)

We are so keen to get rid of the debt that it is a huge temptation to pay off money as soon as we can, but so often it leaves us panicking just a few days later which more than offsets the good feelings we had when we paid the money off in the first place!

I know what you mean, Red: paying Paul is so good that it makes robbing Peter seem good by comparison.
Err on the side of paying Paul caution in order to feel even better at the end of the month when you can count the remaining cash as 'leftover' and use it to pay Paul again!

Yes Pickle sometimes Paul just needs what he asks for initially and extra only when Peter doesn't need it!
