Thanks, have looked at the thread and it is not helping me, it is only on Firefox, IE is OK.

I have emptied cookies,(except for MSE) done all the anti virus, spyware progs I have on the computer including checking and installing any updates, problem still here?
I can only reply, from Firefox< by using the quick reply, when doing so and clicking,"go advanced" I get the smileys on the r/h side, option for font size,"post icon"and font style, but nothing else

    From Tools select Options
    Click the Content Tab
next to Load Images click Exceptions.

Make sure MSE is not on that list

    If that doesn't help -

    Does Firefox Safe Mode help?

Depending on the version, there might be an extra icon in the Firefox folder in Programs in the Start Menu called "Firefox (Safe Mode)"

This launches Firefox without the extensions enabled (Close Firefox completely and wait a moment before trying it)

Another thing you can try is to set up a new profile and see if that also has problems -

    Close Firefox completely
From Start, select Run and paste in firefox.exe -profilemanager followed by ok
This will show you the Profile Manger where you can create a new profile

Tools> Options> content, there is no Load Images or Exception.

Tried Firefox Safe Mode, no difference.

Last suggestion only gets me to the MSE Homepage which is and has been OK. it is only the chat forum I am having the problem with, this is being quote/replied via IE as the facility is not available on Firefox.

Have managed to get into profile manager, and have added "default user" this only takes me to Firefox search page and appears to have lost firefox, but when I go back to "default" it goes back to original problem.
