That, or pay a £60 fine ... I know what I would have done.
Sadly I honestly don't think that you are going to get anywhere with this one, just pay up and move on.0 -
One of you should have stayed with the car. Traffic wardens are people too. I was stopped on a half hour line and because I told him I was waiting for my elderly Mum to come out of the hairdressers on a bitterly cold day - he let me stay beyond the time allowed.
Your chap was just doing his job.0 -
Try reposting this on the proper Board, Unless one of the Board Guides comes along mean time and moves it for you!)

Have a read through some of the posts in there re posting copies of the notice etc.
Is it from a Private company or Council - it will make a difference.0 -
I don't wish to sound heartless, but if you can't afford a few pence/pounds to park, how can you run a car?Dogs have owners...my cat has slaves...0

either pay for the car park or pay a bigger fine by parkin on single yellow, car park option seems cheaper and if u cnt afford it jus go home and wait for you to finish offHalifax Current Account Overdraft : [STRIKE]£1500[/STRIKE] FULLY PAID OFF:jHalifax Credit Card : [STRIKE]£1950[/STRIKE] £1000 Left NOT LONG LEFTO2

OP - who is the ticket from? The council? Or a private parking company?0

some tickets are half price if you pay them within 14 days, could be of help if you are low on cash, easier to borrow £30 rather than £60.0

We did not have enough money for the car park as we are struggling financially. So in rushing and panicking and she was crying and saying oh my finger, she is 85 years old.
We parked on a single yellow line in a back street around back of hospital on a Saturday. When we returned we had a parking ticket for £60 slumped on the car. I said to him, we had to rush here in emergency and you stick this ticket on our car. He didn't care and just walked off.
On the opposite side of the road it stated private residents only. So we parked the opposite side where other cars were parked. When we said, what about these other cars, you didn't put fines on them, he stated, well they are all disabled ones.
Where do we stand on this?
Anyone who knows a lot about this area?
Just remember we rushed there in an emergency. I don't think an ambulance would have come out to her for a finger, would they? She insisted on going to hospital cause she was crying and shaking.
Thanks.please do not pick on me for my grammar,I left school at fifteen and worked in the building trade for 55years ,

If you have worked in that field, Yogibear, you will know that a significant number of local authorities do not have their house in order, and cannot get the signs, road markings or penalty charge notices right, meaning that they are very appealable.
Further, as yet, we don't even know if the ticket is from the council or from a private company.
But it doesn't look like the OP is that bothered anyway. She's not answered any of the questions she's been asked, so we can't even help her.0 -
Thing is if every sob story and excuse was listened to then everyone would get off parking on yellow lines. At the end of the day, you did park there so its a fair cop....
Sorry - but it looks like you're gonna have to pay up.0
