Flights to Thailand Feb 2011?

Hi.

We are planning on getting married in Thailand next year in Feb but can't seem to find any details of flights. There are 2 adultss one 6yo child going from Man airport departing on the 12th feb for 3 weeks. Flexible with dates though. Is it a case that the flights aren't released yet or are we looking in the wrong places?

Cheers

I don't think the flights have been released yet.

Had a look on emirates.com and netflights.com and no prices available on either.

They're not released yet - planning to go ourselves a couple of weeks later than you. Flights will start booking about 11 months before, but we're planning on holding on for a few months to see if any good deals become available. I'm expecting £500+ pp but hoping to get them for £450:)

Thanks, at least I know I wasn't looking in the wrong places:D

Is it best doing like you say and waiting or are they normally cheaper the earlier you get them?

I wish I had a crystal ball and could answer that :). If flights sell well, the earlier the better, if they have more availability than usual, a sale a few months before travel is likely. What I'm doing is waiting to see when/if fares get lower than £500 and then I'll pounce :D. If there's no sign of that happening by say Oct/Nov I'll book anyhow. HTH.

Another couple of months and they should be released.

Waiting to book from Christmas 2010 / New year 2011, normally about end of March / early April I find the right £££ flight for me.

JPS good luck for the wedding. Where about are you going to? (being nosey)

    Hi Kaz

We have to go to bangkok for 5 days to have the wedding made legal at the emabassy, then we will prob go to krabi in a nice hotel there for the cermenony, stay at least 5 days here, get in some of phuket, then staying in a tree house community for a couple of nights, elephant treks etc, and anything else that pops into our heads :D More staying away from the hustle bustle, although we have to go bangkok initially, the idea is more to get in the wonderful views, beaches, temples etc
