Help with ISP

Hi all,

I am looking at getting the cheapest all round good package I can find, I have just left virgin so please leave them out :rotfl:

I have 3 contract phones with orange so can get a cheap deal with them but not sure what the service will be like.

I can get the following:

The following services are available in your location:
BT Wholesale ADSL
BT Wholesale ADSL Max
BT Wholesale WBC (21CN)
BT Wholesale SDSL
AOL LLU
O2 / Be LLU
Bulldog LLU
TalkTalk (CPW) LLU
Sky Broadband / Easynet LLU
Tiscali LLU
Tiscali TV (via Tiscali LLU)
Orange LLU (Formerly Wanadoo)
Virgin Media (Cable)

Sorry if this gets asked every day but not the best when it comes to broadband.

The cheapest all round good package.. based on your availability as well..

    Be Value - £7.50 (but has a 40GB limit)
O2 Standard - £7.50 (same as Be but unlimited. You will need an O2 mobile phone number, can be PAYG, to get it for £7.50 though)
Plusnet Value - £5.99 - but this is limited to 10GB usage.

There's a further comparison on the cheapest broadband here.. http://www.chooseisp.../compare/broadband/cheapest.asp it will show you availability too if you put your phone number / post code in.
  • Would "Orange LLU (Formerly Wanadoo)" be really bad?

I am used to 10meg virgin broad band, dont mind a slower service to be honest as I dont download but do game bit. I never noticed any difference from vm 2meg, 10meg or even 20meg when I had that :rotfl:

Same here. I think higher speeds are overrated.:T

You have a lot of choice but i would recommend BT line rental/callplan with O2 broadband or BE broadband. Lots of cash back through quidco and O2 /BE have a good record for service.

I think I would have to go with BE as I have no o2 mobiles, just 3 contracts on orange

but after reading about oranges broadband I think I will give them a miss :rotfl:

Plusnet any good? they offer a 1month contract, so could go BT line plusnet BB, maybe?
  • saying that theres no plusnet on there lol

I beg thee not to go with Orange.

For the love of God, don't do it.
