Am I the only person who uses soap in the shower, bath and for washing my hands? Uses much less packaging and is surely cheaper (we use own brand supermarket soap). Mind you all gifts of smelly bath products are gratefully recieved ;)
  • I use the bath creme, just put a dod off it on my shower scrunchie thing, it works just as well.

Thriftlady, my hubby is like you, won't use anything but soap. Yes it is cheaper, but it's a lot messier, at least it is when he slides it all over the place, and I have to clean it up, and it's a lot harder to clean the scum off the shower screen and tiles.

i have started to use bars of soap for washing hands and in the shower, its definitely a lot cheaper, 99p gets you 4 decent quality bars and they last for months.

if i have a bath (have not had a bath for months due to only having them when its cold!), then i will buy bubble bath as i like bubbles!

Soap makes my hair dull and dry. Mind you, I only wash it 2 or 3 times a week, and never use conditioner ;)

If I've had bottles of bubble stuff I don't like at all, I've used it as loo cleaner ;)

I use mostly bar soap, it does last a very long time provided you buy a reasonable quality bar and let it dry out between uses. It's also a lot cheaper, and I find it cleans much better too.

Only thing I don't use it for is my hair. It doesn't seem to work well, but I've seen some inexpensive olive oil based soaps that I might try on my hair and see what happens.
