Bubble bath as a replacement for body wash?

Sorry, I don't have a standard 'recipe' I use - I just use all kinds of stuff as I think my hair needs it. My hair condition seems to change with all manner of things.
I use a chamomile rinse regularly. Sometimes I make a rinse of Lemon Verbana, or rosemary & lavender. This is sufficient most of the time since I use olive oil as serum on my ends - not everyday and you only need a tiny bit.
I do a deep treatment with warm olive oil or a mix of olive, rosemary & lavender oils. My scalp is sometimes oily so then I use a mix of witch hazel, water & lemon juice, but only on my scalp, not on my lengths.
Sometimes I use egg yolks on it (usually if I've made something that requires egg whites) I was recently told that Soy Sauce is a good protein enhancer too, but I haven't tried that yet.
Sometimes I give it a beer rinse.
So, sorry, I don't have a 'quick fix'.0 -
Bubble bath/Creme bath, shower gel and liquid soap is all the same stuff and basically bubble bath is the cheapest as it comes in huge bottles. I always decant bubble bath off into old shower gel and liquid soap bottles, to save money and the enviroment!0

I make my own liquid soap, gloop, but it nevers gets a good lather. Adding a little bubble bath works great.
You have to give the bottle a good shake every few days as the bubble bath settles to the bottom of the bottle.0 -
A good tip is to always buy the same colour bubble bath, otherwise you can end up with grey soap, which works just as well, but doesn't look very appealing.

I use the cheapest economy brands for all my cleaning - they make good work of baths, sinks etc as they are not too foamy. I have never yet found a better window cleaner either - used with a squegee, it leaves no streaks and the windows nice and gleamy.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

I have a large tub of Bubble Bath and would like to use it as a shower gel. Has anyone done this? Should I dilute it 50/50? I can't use it as bubble bath as my water tank doesn't work well so we are only taking showers now!
Thanks for any ideas0 -
Hi ginandtonic,
I haven't tried it but I know some Old Stylers have so I've added your post to that thread so that you can read what they say.

hmm i thought the whole point of handwash was that it was antibacterial (thats the variety i use anyway), so i dont think bubble bath will do the job.0

bubble bath tends to be thinner than shower gel so I wouldn't dilute it - it will work fine though as a shower gelThe early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0
