Gas Boiler - Is it working?
Comments

Did the vendor put in writing that the boiler was working?
Otherwise it's up to you, the buyer to check that the boiler is working and most importantly safe.
I noted that the boiler wasn't switching on before I signed for the house and asked for it to be fixed. It was also a condition in the contract that the purchase depended on the heating system working correctly. The vendor informed that it was working but when I checked yesrterday it wasn't.
I checked the house last night and the switch has a 13amp fuse in it. I changed fuses over but still nothing. I checked all the trip switches, still nothing. Should the boiler have its own trip or be on the same circuit as other switches?0 -
It could be either.
There will be a small 2 amp fuse on the boiler pcb as well. Make sure all switches are off to the boiler before checking this, just in case!!0
