hello.

my orange sim card just arrived and the bumf said to ring an 0800 number to get my new mobile number etc.

well having finally been able to speak to someone after 2 long calls on hold, i got cut off both times. i tried a 3rd time and was told i had to ring back later because there were isssues, i think thats what he said although not wanting to sound nasty, his overseas accent wasn't easy to understand.

i have scoured the orange website, surely in this day and age it can be registered online? i have had all sorts of sims and this is the 1st time i havnt been able to setup an account online (as far as i can see).

you can setup an account, but you need your number 1st, this is the bit i can only see can be done on the 0800 number....am i wrong? is there a link?

thank you.

thanks for that...i have now managed to activate the card and have an online account....

one last thing, does Orange have a standard 4 digit security number? all my sims are protected so that when i switch on the phone i have to input the 4 digits, but Orange one comes straight on..nowhere in the bumf does it tell me my standard number, although i will swap it of course.

cant find anything on the Orange site, and really dont want to have to make another call direct to them..

    thank you.
