I got an Asda CC a few months ago but felt I had been mis-sold as I was promised 1% return on purchases. This was supposidly only in the Edinburgh store and one other store down south with it being 0.5% everywhere else. I was also promised many savings offers which would come through on opening the account and on a monthly basis with my bill. The opening of the account deals were only for south of the border and this month there were no deals in with the bill. Also as a CC holder I have not been informed of the petrol discount. I did complain about the return (by phone)on receiving the opening bumph and then heard nothing. I again contacted them and discovered that although my complaint had been noted they apparently had no intentions of answering it. I eventually was given 500pts for my troubles... sorry but I am less than impressed!
Now that I have the card it was my intention to hold onto it to receive my vouchers which I think I get in November then close it. I now have to try and work out.....am I better getting my fuel at Asda with the CC, getting the discount and the 0.5% back? or getting it from Tescos with my regular CC and getting the Tesco points? Arrrgh!!
BTW I signed up in store when they were promoting it and was given money off vouchers to spend there and then. If you are applying online you could always ask if tey offer any signing on incentives!:j0 -
If any of you fuel up at Tesco's you can get the same deal if not better using Clubcard Plus. Clubcard plus gives you 2 points/2p per pound spent, on anything at Tesco, worth of Tesco spending (fuel is almost £1 a litre anyway). If you use your points of clubcard deals (vouchers for selected things) then they are worth 4x more and you get 8p per pound spent! They say you can't put a value on life... but I live it at half price!0

-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries0 -
I see the Asda card also offers free delivery on home grocery deliveries. We use this all the tme so could be a big saving. Does anyone know how the amount is deducted? Is it done automatically or by E -code? I ask as we use e-codes all the time (usually a tenner off each shop) so we wouldn't be able to use 2 e-codes in 1 transaction.0

What is Clubcard Plus?0 -
I was offered an Asda Storecard in-store only a few weeks ago. The incentive being: £5 off my 1st shop of £50 0r more (10% off thank you!) and now I'm getting 2p off every litre which i buy there anyway and it's the cheapest in the area anyway. I only use it for fuel at the moment and pay-up in full at the end of the month so NO DREADED INTEREST TO PAY!!!0

Would anyone be able to answer this please? I called the so called helpline but the guy on the phone didn't know anything that wasn't on his prompt card.0 -
Just applied for my Asda Credit card as we do most of our shopping there anyway, i also use their petrol stations as they are usually the cheapest anyway so an extra 2p will come in handy.
I might even dip a toe into the water and try the online shopping, with the free delivery.0
