Talkdeals/Communications Centre? Anybody heard of them?

I'm close to the end of my Orange contract and I've been getting calls from somebody from this company.
He says they have been told by Orange to call customers about renewing certain customers and their prices are very attractive compared to Orange's own upgrade offers. He said that if I was to take up the offer all my dealings would still be with Orange.
For example he offered 250 mins (anytime/anynet) 100 SMS and the W810i for £12/month on an 18 month contract. I would still get an upgrade of my phone after 12 months.

I took down his company website, phone number and name of his supervisor.
Has anybody had similar calls?

Rule of thumb: NEVER deal with cold callers.
If you get another call, ask them to provide you with your postcode and current package details. If they can't do this then they're lying to you about acting on Orange's instruction. If they say that they can't do that because of data protection rules, simply tell them that by the same token they ought not to have phoned you in the first place as you hadn't given Orange your permission to pass your details on to a third party. That'll spook 'em.
Furthermore, why not ask them point blank if you get to keep your number...my gut instinct tells me that you are being sold a new contract, not an upgrade. If this is the case then you will NOT get to keep your number.

Reestit MuttonFor anyone wishing to contact me privately to ask me a question, can I ask that you email me directly as my PM box is often full.0 -
Yes you're right when he first called me he didnt even know what plan I was on and I have a second line for which he asked ME the number and details.
I took his email address and it was a yahoo account and asked me to email - though I definetly wont be now. I asked why he wouldn't give a work address with the company name in it and he said it was because this one was more convenient since he works late in the evening. He did give me his supervisor's name and an 0870 number but I still had my suspicions and hence posted here.
Thanks for the advice Reestit Mutton should be useful for the future too. :T0
