Chimney Cleaning products

Greetings all :wave:.
Has any one tried using any of the flue cleaning products available for removing tar/creosote from the wood burning systems?
I came across these: HotSpot, Sorcerer Chimney & Flue Cleaner, Stovax STOVE FLUE AND CHIMNEY CLEANER, Sorcerer Chimney & Flue Cleaner Fires, CHIMNEY CLEANING LOG and others.
Any good or just a waste of money :question:
