Online cc applications with no signature

In dispute with egg and they are claiming that if a box is ticked no signature is required, another monkey at their call centre claimed it is required and a seperate form would have been sent out with the signature held on file.

Are they talking sh*t

Don't remember signing anything, but do remember ticking a box and accepting at the time this was an electronic signature. Is this dispute part of the 20K you've previously said you've had successfully written off?

Dependent on when this was taken out, an electronic signature - ie ticking a box stating you have read and understood the T&Cs etc is acceptable. There is no need to send a further agreement.
No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

    1. Did you apply for the credit card?
    2. Did you spend the money?

If answer is yes to both 1 & 2, there is no dispute. Electronic signatures have been accepted for some time now - I know Egg use them.

You don't like my tone? That's a shame.

I was referring to your previous posts where I got the impression you'd already had it written off - can see from the one below that it hadn't all been written off http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2228805&highlight=20k+written+off

Any other tone you'd like me to take or you want to have a pi$$ing contest?

Why are you worried about this now whether a signature is required. Is it because you have already used the credit limit and looking for away out of paying off your debts.

Sorry just seen your previous thread. You are obviously a parasite.

The Electronic Communications Act 2000 and Electronic Signatures Regulations 2002 define 'e-signatures'.

An amendment to the CCA 1974 in 2004 provides for the conclusion of consumer credit agreements by electronic means.

    Can all be easily Google'd.

When you are filling out information on a web page for online applications the electronic signature can be in various forms, like clicking the 'Accept' button, or an "I agree" button in a click-thru agreement or ticking a box, depending on the company accepting online applications, whichever method they prefer to use though.
