I tried opening a 2nd account online and it *seemed* to be ok, after a week of hearing nothing, or seeing anything online I popped into a branch and they opened one up.
When I got home, thepostie had been with a letter from Lloyds stating that as I was already a customer, I could only do it through the branch!Be happy, it's the greatest wealth

Same hapened to me when I applied online just before Christmas.
I got a letter saying as an existing customer I needed to apply in branch.
I just left it and as stated above applied successfully on line last Sunday.
Applied for a 3rd account on Friday see what happens with that one.0
