It is ridiculous and whats more disgusting is that the police would have taken his side over mine everytime, purely because theyre so scared of upsetting anyone that isnt White!

I agree dillidalli! This country is too scared now to stand up for itself.

    Toots,
OMG - I am sooooooooo happy for Munchki!!! Its about time that something went right for her....

I can help to lend some money if she needs it.... I can't offer a lot but if she is willing to accept.....

    Mambury

there you go then.... Munchki's won the challenge!!!!

Thanks Mambury, very very kind, I'll let her know. I was squealing/shouting/dancing when I got the news from her - think my neighbour downstairs will be letting her feelings be known about the level of noise I generated :rotfl:

Well done Mummyand Paige and Rachel! Sounds like a good job done! Are you listing on eBay mummy?

Nikki, sounds like you work for an incredible company .... not! What a carry on, it's pathetic that they're making such a big deal about this, given that it was their error in the first place!

Babymoo, forget it even happened, I hate all the racism carp that goes around, imo it's used as a finger-pointing excuse for anything and everything these days. That's not to say there aren't genuine examples, but when it comes down to saying 'coffee with milk' instead of the politically incorrect term 'white coffee', I'm afraid I lose the plot.

Crafty I know what you mean. I refuse to change the way I do things for fear of upsetting someone who is not british.
I will display an England flag with pride in my car when it comes to WorldCup etc.

I have such fun at PO earlier! I was in a queue of about 20 and there was this black guy infront of me, I was 2nd to last of queue and he turns to me and asks if I will hold his place as he needs to fill lots of forms in so I politely said I'm sorry but if you leave you will have to join the back of the queue like everyone else does.

I then got accused of being racist and threatened with the police! I couldnt believe the cheek of the man. I didn't hold his place and stuck to my guns but OMG! I am no where near racist, I would have said it whatever the race or gender of the person asking me.

Legally you cannot keep a place in a queue (not even by placing an object such as a towel), I read a few years ago.

    Well done Munchki!

I'm trying to find a cheap flight for mum and I to South Africa for later this month to visit my aunty, I've found some good deals but it's vitally important mum and I sit together, not just because we want to but for medical reasons (hers, not mine). I daren't book until I have checked that this is possible. I can't seem to find out whether we can arrange this when we book through a screenscraper or whether we'll have to take pot luck with the seats when we book in.
