Hi everyone im new here, i have signed up with talk talk my phone line was activated a few weeks ago and my broadband was supposed to go live on fri 12th of feb but it hasn't, they said there was a problem with the order going live and they could not give me a date when it would be sorted!! i said i wanted to cancel but they are saying they cant do it as the account is "at a point of no return" until the broadband goes live, wat can i do? i spoke to virgin who say they can give me an LLU service from the braintree exchange which is wat i am supposed to be getting from talk talk. Is it easy to change over? would virgin just take over my phoneline?

Hi Craney, I moved to talktalk about a year ago and had dreadful problems getting set up.I finally emailed their complaints/customer service a couple of times and a fab young guy phoned me and said he was "on the case"and he WAS.Result I was connected when he said and the connection fee was waived.:T
I had to phone this morning as I lost connection yesterday and as you can see after a 30min phone call and remote assistance I'm back online.Keep pushing and try the email route good luck:)0 -
I had a few problems with connection when i first used the router (I found that the TalkTalk router seems to cut out?) I am now using a Thomson router with Talk Talk and it has not cut out once! I am very impressed with their service. Is it too good to be true?0

I like you am impressed. My neighbour is with BT and pays in excess of £10 monthly more than me for what appears to be the same service. We both are only domestic users. One concern I do have is yesterday and overnight I lost my phone line(first time) and the only way to contact them was by phone(free from your TT landline) at 12p per min heaven knows what it would have cost on my mobile, fortunately I was reconnected without me phoning them but it's made me wonder what I'd do in the future ?0

Sounds like a typical TalkTalk problem. If I were you I'd def try and resolve it with them rather than getting Virgin involved which will will only be confusing for everyone and more expensive for you in the long run.0
