MotherEase are great, but my all time favourites are Wee Notions. The designs are adorable and they will custom make from loads of fabrics, edging tapes and even embroidery. Not so moneysaving though I guess but the in stock ones are reasonable value. Never had a single leak with those.

Also just a note about wraps, make sure you don't tumble dry or use fabric conditioner as that can affect the performance.

Hello guys thankyou for your responses...to answer the following:

The size I am using is size 2 my son's 10mths old but Im still having to fasten them quite tight around his waist.

I don't own a tumble dryer, however I have questioned the cuff on the covers as they look a little worn....but it's hard to tell.

I think I'll have to go out and try a new cover :)

Might be worth just trying the next size up as DD has always had to have wraps on the tightest setting, I even had to sew extra velcro on some so they could go even tighter round the waist, she is very slim, however she is also very tall, so was outgrowing the length of them but not the width iyswim. I didn't find much difference in waist between the size 2 and 3, but the biggest size have lasted the longest (9 months until now, they still fit fine and she is 20 months, incidentally they are still on the tightest setting too.)

Hope you get it sorted soon, as it is such a nuisance! Do you have a nappy lady or real nappy demonstrator where you could try some on him before having to buy?

Hello thanks for the message, no I didn't go to a nappy lady or anything I just searched for the bext system and went with that :)
I have however bought some old fashioned pull up waterproof pants from Mothercare cost a £5 for 5 and so far no leaks :)
Not the prettiest things I'll give you that but work well ;)
I might even be able to get nursery to use these! although another question....anyone know where you can buy the old fashioned pull up waterproofs with a jazzy design? or are we on a strictly white basis now?
  • You will get 2nd hand ones on usednappies.co.uk, different makes to try and some patterned ones too.
Also, don't wet pail PUL items as it is bad for the waterproofing.
Me debt free thanks to MSE :T
