Hello just wondering if someone can help?
I use tots bots washable nappies and have found recently that the leg cuffs on the covers keep leaking, any idea what I could be doing wrong?
Or do I need to try a different brand cover?
I've been using the same nappies for a while and it's only recently that I've been having the problem...don't use softener etc...could the covers simply be too old?
Any help appreciated

I always used popolini wraps a size bigger than suggested and never had a problem unless it was particularly nasty.
If the wraps have been fine in the past and just started leaking i'd suggest they are no longer covering the nappy properly and you need the bigger sizeLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I never liked the Tots wraps. They weren't elasticated around the legs, so leakage was quite frequent. With my daughter I found Boots own nappy wraps the best, but they don't seem to sell them anymore and I have lost my old stash! The next best were little lambs, and this time I have bought some in an ebay shop for about £5 each.Debt free as of July 2010 :j

I loved my girls tots bots. I wonder how old your baby is. Perhaps they are wetting more and the one terry isn't quite absorbent enough?
Mine were elasticated at the leg cuff.0 -
I like the bambino mio and with the velcro you could alter the shape of the leg hole slightly for a better fit:happyhear YUMMY MUMMY TO HENRY BEAR AGED 10:happyhearslimming world need to get back to target 25lb to goDisney World here we come May 2018:j0

i use motherease airflow and not had a single leak to date. Love them! I'm with the other poster that maybe your wraps have gotten too small.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

bum genius flip covers are birth to potty and would go over your tots bots- they are bogof in lots of places at the moment making them only about £5 each
I bought some the other day and look just the thing to cover lots of different types of nappy:jMummy to 2 small 4 year old bundles of mischief!:j0 -
I use motherease and popolini wraps (the popolini are exactly the same just a bit cheaper) and have never had leaks. They are brilliant. I would second Pigpens suggestion that leakage is probs due to them getting a bit small. I found going up a size stopped any leaks. The next size always looks huge and you can't imagine it would fit on them, until you try it on! ha ha!
ETA- just make sure if you decide to change brands of wrap that the ones you choose are compatible with the type of nappy you are using. Ie tommee tippee are prefold wraps and are no good for shaped nappies, and some wraps work brilliantly for shaped nappies but would never hold a prefold in place. All shaped nappies are slightly different too. I found motherease airflow were good all rounder as I used both prefolds and shaped nappies. HTH.0 -
I have used tots bots for two years now. Do you have the new style softer PUL covers or the old style harder plasticy covers? Could the child possibly be growing out of the size you are using as ours started to leak when our son got a bit too big for the size 1 nappies? The older style wraps didnt seem to be as good as the new style thinner more comfortable ones.
If not have you been tumble drying the wraps as they might be ruining the material around the legs?
I always have to make sure that the wrap is totally covering all the nappy below otherwise they can leak but I am sure you are doing this.:A0 -
Hello guys thankyou for your responses...to answer the following:
The size I am using is size 2 my son's 10mths old but Im still having to fasten them quite tight around his waist.
I don't own a tumble dryer, however I have questioned the cuff on the covers as they look a little worn....but it's hard to tell.
I think I'll have to go out and try a new cover0 -
p.s just checked and it is the PUL covers that I'm using0
