Hot Water Descaling - best solution?

I have a Baxi 100HE boiler:

I have no hot water tank, so I presume this heats the water and stores it here:

My problem: the hot water is scaling quite badly:

I've looked at solutions like this, that get the water as it comes into the house:

HOWEVER, if it's just the hot water, I guess it's generated somewhere inside the house? Where would I put the electronic descaling solution in that case?

Please help, I know nothing about plumbing!

:)

Don't waste your money, these devices do not work.

Your only guaranteed solution is an ion-exchange water softener (the ones that use salt) - there are hundreds to choose from & after your initial outlay (we paid £650 for a Monarch Aqua-Midi but prices vary widely dependent on size, electronic/mechanical etc) the salt costs around £1/week.

    Makes a big difference.
