Hi all, I've had a nice relaxing weekend after my daytrip to London on Friday which was fab but exhausting! No work for me this week, so the weekend has been really nice without the dread of Monday hanging over me!
This weekend I:
1) All meals from stores
2) Bought cough medicine from Boots using my points.
3) My mobile phone died so I had to buy a new one. As I was due a PAYG upgrade it ended up costing me just £7! :j
4) I swapped arms around on a pair of chairs so now instead of two broken chairs I have two perfectly fine ones - one with arms, one without!
5) I needed to fill some spaces in an oddly shaped picture frame. I cut some pics out of my free Cath Kidston catalogue and now it looks posh.
6) Did a big shop at Mr T's today. I was v embarrassed to realise that my darling little T was amusing himself by walking along with his trousers and pants pulled down at the back to show off his bare bum.:eek::eek: I thought it was strange that he wasn't trying to run on ahead like he usually does. Used a £7 off till-spit and got another back.
7) Bought a big bag of dishwasher tablets for 24p due to clever coupon usage - they should have been £7.
8) Bought T 15 pairs of much needed pants for £2.25 in the sale. Managed to persuade him that that was much better than 5 pairs of Ben 10 pants for £4. Let's hope he keeps them on.
9) I've made a huge batch of soup in the slow cooker to use up all my manky veg.
10) I broke some eggs by accident so I will do some baking later to use them. I have brown bananas and a load of carrots so will use them up too.
11) Checked bank, quidco, did SCs etc
Enjoy what's left of the weekend, L x0 -

Evenin' all
Feel very productive today, I have:
- Baked a batch of biscuits, small cupcakes for lunch boxes and a choccy dotty cake for my brother (in payment for picking my daughter up from nursery - very MSE!)
- Decluttered step-DD1's bedroom, identified things for mum to ebay and put the rest in the loft
- Cleared out "house paperwork" box and shredded
- Worked out budget for February's bill/debt payments, looking better each month
- My yale lock was £11.99, homebase had a 10% off day and I had an old Love to Shop voucher for £1 so it cost me £9 something
- OH chopped up all the old random wooden things that were in the garden for firewood.
- Cooked my first meal in slow cooker today (chili) was lovely!!!
Feel empowered today, have been reading a debt free diary by renovation.girl, loving her enthusiam!Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -
Hi
Would love to join this chat - have been reading this for so long, and although I do a lot of MSE stuff it really keeps me focussed to read what you are all doing. But I need to do more so need to be more accountable for everything! So here goes...
- told DH not to buy me anything for Valentines, breakfast in bed would be perfect!
- Card I gave DH was bought with M&S voucher
- homemade chocolate shortbread heart biscuits
- DH & DS2 played (planned) 9 hole golf round but took drinks and snacks from home
- Did treasure hunt with clues for DS1 & 2 to find sweets and books already in pressie cupboard (allowed Me and Dh to watch first half of rugby in peace!)
Chinese meal this evening -
Frozen 2 for 3 pound from sainburys rather than takeaway.
Plus making spring rolls for first time using pastry sheets from chinese supermarket.
Wine on special offer !
Check -
onepoll
retail eyes
toluna
bank accounts
Looking forward to half term (nursery teacher) so should be able to do more cooking, planning...
