  • and if you don't have rice Claire but have potatoes, make the chilli, put it in an oven proof dish and the thinly slice and boil potatoes and layer the potatoes on top. Bake in the oven with some grated cheese on - yum.

    lucky things.........sigh.......If I hear the DJ on the radio say one more time that he thinks the reason that the roads are so quiet is that because it is Valentine's Day and everyone is doing 'other stuff' indoors, I will go mad. :mad:

    my dh is in work and i'm having a marathon cooking session so were out lol

    well i've put the mince and country mix together and omg theres loads!! so not sure whether i can make a chilli with the country mix in as well?

    that sounds lush gonna do that i think (got no rice here) Do the potatoes have to be peeled?

  • no, the potatoes don't need to be peeled - I never bother, just remove any manky bits from the skin, eyes etc. Lots of vitamins in the skin :D Does the country mix need soaking? If not, just add a small handful. I sometimes add a handful of red lentils to bolognaise or chilli to bulk it ou.
