  • Claire, can I come to yours for tea? I'll bring a chocolate cake!

I'm not sure abotu the beef. With the packet chili, brown off the mince as normal and in a jug mix the packet mix with some water, add to the cooked mince and let it simmer.

If you'e going to add teh bean mix, I'd boil them before you add them to teh chili mix.

I've got no bolognaise sauce mix or jars here to make a lasagne or a bolognaise so if anyone can help me out with that i'd be very grateful, (i have a chilli sauce mix but never done chilli before)

For my bolognaise I always use tinned tomatoes, I never use the jars of sauce. I use

    Onion
    finely chopped carrot
    Garlic
    Dried mixed herbs
    tin of tomatoes
    beef stock cube
    mince
    salt/pepper

then if I have all/some them - bit of red wine/worcester sauce or a bit of brown sauce/pinch of smoky paprika but I don't if I don't have them :D

For chilli, just do the same but add chilli powder and then kidney beans/baked beans whatever beans you have!

  • have you gravy granules instead of stock cubes? The beans won't be in the chilli packet, no.

How about doing a spicy lasagne? Use the chilli mix with the browned off mince and tomatoes and then layer with lasagne sheets and make a white sauce (butter/flour/milk) also in the layers. Top with the sauce and then grated cheese.
