I went to Legoland last week for two days - Wednesday and Thursday. There were quite big queues for everything, although the longest we queued was 45 mins, I am glad we had two days as we wouldn't have been able to go on anything if we had gone for one day.
The second day we went, we found that by walking straight down to the far end of the park, where the log flume and castle were, we could practically walk straight onto the rides - as people seemed to work their way down to that end, so by "going against the flow" we did avoid some of the queuing.
I think there is a travelodge in slough which is only a short train ride again.
Hope this helps.0 -
We used tesco vouchers when we went and stayed at the Marriott with the Tesco vouchers too..We went down from up North but I don't think I would go again. It's ok if your in the area but I don't think it's worth the journey down there if your in the North..There's probably other theme parks closer..That's just what we thought..My 11 year old wasn't too bothered and my 3 year old just liked looking at the lego village..0

Queues can be a nightmare. Tip for anyone visiting any theme park - most people start from the main entrance, thus, grab the kids, walk (or if there's any sort of train ride, take that) to the far end, and work backwards. Far less queuing!0

Just back from our two days at Legoland, we stayed at the quality hotel Heathrow 145.00 per night, including 2 adult and 2 child 2 day tickets for Legoland and a Lego gift for each child (quote Lego Club Special).
Very surprised as no major queues even for the bigger rides, longest wait was 30 minutes for team extreme, but we did start both days at the back of the park
My main tip we went on Monday and left at 5 (DD1 not very well) but got caught in the rush-hour traffic. Left at 7 o'clock on Tuesday, not only could you walk onto all the rides including the Driving School and Boat School, and not much traffic leaving.
We loved the shows the Johnny Thunder and the 4D Cinema, The Digger School, Fire academy, Wave Adventure.
Make sure if the weather is nice the kids take a swimsuit and they can mess around in the water park bit of dupleoland.
Food is expensive and rubbish, we bought lunch the first day but took a picnic the second. water is £1.75 for 750ml. though ice creams didn't seem to bad
My 5 and 4 y/o had a great time and I’m glad we did two days as we would a missed so much only going for one day....
