Anyone been to legoland at the weekend?

Thinking of taking the little one there on Saturday or Sunday, as we live near Manchester and will obviously stay down there, just wondered if it would be worth it or would I be stood in queues all day?

We went last october half term from the north too and we went on a Saturday..It was big queues..We didn't go on half the things...The summer hols are soon so I don't think it will matter if you go at the weekend or not it will probably be busy...Have a good time....You never know till you get there so just go and have fun..The kids love it....

we went last sunday.. stayed overnight near there and got there at 9.30... u can look round the shop and also theres a bit called creation which had portraits etc made of lego... i am sure most people didnt even see that

as soon as the park opened we made our way to the back and got quickly onto some rides.. the worse queues were for the car driving school and boat school so if i went again i would do those first

we saw most things altho my little un does not like the big scary rides so we avoid those which makes it easier to get round.. we will be going again in sept as at the moment if u buy a full price day ticket u get another visit free in sept

Just to repeat what shykins has said - if you want to do the driving school / boat school, get to them first as the queues can be long :)

    Enjoy your day :)

I don't know if the you have other things planned to do in the area - but we made the trip from 'oooop north, and was quite disappointed.

We did this last half term and managed to stay overnight nearby to avoid the queues on the roads . We had an advance ticket which saves queuing at the kiosks to get in.If you are able to plan your day prior to getting there I would strongly advise that , together with making sure that the driving school and fire engine race was near the top of your list (longest queues). Take a picninc lunch as it is quite expensive to eat out, and wear comfy shoes . The kids will love it . I think Tesco do deals on their clubcard for good prices . Enjoy !

Where did you stay nearby to legoland? We need to travel by train and the only hotels I can find are on major roads. Anyone know of hotels near train stations? Or have you travelled by train to get there? It's going to take 3 hours by train so we need to travel the day before and stay over.

We stayed at the Hilton (birthday treat) Bracknell , on a special deal Lord E had found . It was about 20 mins from Legoland through the back lanes. I believe there is a travel lodge nearby but I dont know what the name is . HTH

we staryed at the hilton basingstoke about 30mins away via M3.. got a mega deal of £54 for 3 of us including dinner and brakfast.. i think that was a mistake tho but hey i wasnt about to argue lol

they also do 2 day passes to legoland with night there for about £145 for 2 adults, 1 kid so it may be worth u checking out their website or the leogland one for hotel deals.. 2 days would mean less rushing and uwould definitely get to see it all
