  • Check your vouchers. We have lost £40 worth as already out of date.

Pretty sure you can ring Tesco (assuming you mean Clubcard vouchers), and give them the codes, they will then add these on to your next clubcard statement..

I know, explains why reduced when it has vouchers out of date packed inside. Still I only use about 2 or 3 cartridges a year! Also seem to be able to buy black & colour on ebay for £15/£17 each, so Tesco probably same with discount!

Any idea what the colour / black button on right of panel does? It doesn't change print colour when printing? Yet you can choose colour or black?

    Thanks

Googled and found...it is for everything but printing

"Most all-in-ones we've seen offer separate buttons to start color and black copying, but the X6650's control panel uses a single Start button plus a button that toggles between color and monochrome, so we occasionally forgot to switch modes between one job and the next. (Print jobs arrive in color or black-and-white depending on a check box in the software driver, not the button.) "
  • One last question is there anyway to turn the wireless signal off of these things? As it interferes with my TV sender thing! Can just turn printer off, but as using USB connection to PC does wireless signal from printer always have to be on?

    Thanks

can't you use the refill packs available out there on this?
Doubt it as the Lexmarks now remember the cartridge serial numbers and when declared "empty" by the printer they cannot be re-used.
When refilled the printer shouts out screen after screen that non-Lexmark ink is in the printer.

Has anyone spoken to Tesco about this? I'm in the process of writing a letter of complaint. Hopefully they'll send me a card with £40 on (making the printer FREE! :))
  • Am in the process of sorting it out - wonder if anybody had the foresight to take a screen shot (tesco have amended website now)?

  • Emailed tesco direct to complain worth a try.
  • Tesco Direct phoned me today said if unhappy with expired vouchers they can refund the entire printer if I bring it into store! Fair answer I suppose, I did argue that it was misold etc and they said they will pass my details to Lexmark who will be in touch.
  • I assumed the whole reason the printer was reduced in price was because the vouchers were starting to expire...ours started from the october aswell but theres no way we would use catridges every single month anyway, we are just happy with the bargain the printer was in the first place with or without the vouchers. We have set it up and tried all functions on it and believe we have more than got our moneys worth with everything it offers. Had we seen the printer at this price without the money off vouchers we would still have jumped at it!
