I think the bills etc will take some getting used to but your CPN should be able to help you get a budget and/or planner together, in order to manage the payments.

Mind may also provide a support worker who will help with practical things and, of course, there is loads of support on here! Check out the OS board for help with household costs - they are very supportive over there and have an answer for everything!

It will also be odd being alone more but remember you can still visit your mum, and she can maybe visit you too.

Perhaps you could get together twice a week for an evening - one at yours and one at hers - that will help break up the week for you and she may welcome that too? Maybe your sister will visit you too?

I think a pet is a great idea but be careful if you are in a rented property as not all LLs will accept them.
