Have other people found this company effective?

I tried signing up for the O2 Premium broadband deal with them yesterday. Initially, it seemed pretty good. Phoned up and was called back swiftly. The salesman took all my details, but then said the system was playing up so he'd call me back at 1000 today.

About an hour later got another call from a different salesman. Went through the same process but then he also claimed the system was playing up, and said he'd call me back at 0930 today.

So this morning I waited in until 1030 and heard nothing. Called them and was told I'd be called back. Waited another hour - nothing. Went out, came back about 1600 and checked the phone - there'd been no calls.

Just tried them again, explained the situation and yet again have been promised a call back, but half an hour later, nothing so far.

At this rate, may as well forget the discount and just sign up direct with O2. At least I might actually get my broadband some time this year!

I take it you mean SimplifyDigital?

You could at least use Quidco to sign up and get £50 cashback.

I do. Thanks for that. I might look into the Quidco option.

I rang them today and got through in a few minutes. Everything was good and easy.
Confirmed I would be getting the cashback via cheque in 90 days of activation.

Oh well... you got lucky I suppose. I have given up on them and gone via Quidco instead. Was starting to think the discount might be a ploy to get as many people's details as quickly as possible, then call them back later. Just seemed strange that both times they took my details, they suddenly couldn't complete the transaction - convenient if you're trying to get yourself maximum customers lined up for maximum commission.

Still, I'm a cynical sort I suppose :) .. Did it myself online in no time at all.

Incidentally, they still haven't phoned me back....
