Well spotted, sir.
OP = clown.

EDIT: OP is even contemplating going to the AUS to escape this, here. Looks like a few roaches are enough to scare them to a place where snakes, venomous spiders, scorpions and cockroaches are the norm........
Don't think the OP would get into Oz - they're quite fussy about who they let in and they do expect people to work for a living there. Interestingly, the OP appears to have a venomous snake yet is upset about roaches

This gives you an indication of what the OP's attitude is like - taken from the thread about HMRC on the vent board....
Politicians have to get their 1.5 million in expenses somehow ... from people like you and me
i screw the system every chance i get now, no more Mr. play it by the poloticians laws for me. I'm doing quite well too.

As OP claims to have Proc on ignore, I feel it is only right to quote Proc's perfectly summed up response so that OP can also have the pleasure of reading it
Hey I remember you.
You're the lazy, ignorant, bone-idle guy living in a council flat that sits around all day expecting the state to wipe his back side?
Yeh, that's the one. If I recall correctly, about 2 months ago you were asking about a cockroach infestation that you had in your flat. We offered plenty of advice (ranging from ringing professionals, DIY cockroach prevention, etc). However, you followed none of the advice, called us all trolls, and made it clear that actually you only wanted the problem fixed if someone else would do it for you.
Now you still haven't bothered to fix it (even though it's supposedly detrimental to your health). They're cockroaches !!!!!!. You must be a massive failure if they are getting the upperhand.
What's this? Compensation you say? What for? Because you're dirty and lazy? Yeh, us taxpayers really want to pay this.
Do what most employed people would have to do in your situation; fix the problem or !!!!!! moaning already.0 -

Can't think of anything else to add...
OP - you are a scrounger.0 -
If I take OP's post at face value, ask only for what you have lost out on, and need to be compensated for - ensuring that you have taken all reasonable steps to minimise your losses.
If I believe what I have read in the thread then I shall heed the forum etiquette: " Pls be nice to all MoneySavers." and keep quiet.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

Did you actually suffer from E-coli or dysentry? Thanks, i was thinking around £300 total, and possibly some cash for the health hazards of roaches (E-coli, dysentry, etc and asthma) and also the nuicence it has caused me, maybe around £1,000 total, but i have to think on it.
If so, can you place a value the inconvenience they caused?
Please explain how you relate "my asthma attacks went up by 900% in a year" with living in your flat.OK i will keep that in mind. I can quantify and prove that my asthma attacks went up by 900% in a year whilst living in this block, maybe i will get something, i hope this stage 3 complaint offers me a goodwill payment as well or i will take it to court.
The reason I ask is that someone without any asthma symptoms can, for a variety of reasons, suddenly become a serious sufferer. (Not sure how to put a number on that... how about 9,000,000% increase?)0 -
Now then - where do I start?
Firstly I should point out that our litigious society really annoys me. People think that for the smallest of things they should automatically be able to claim all sorts of amounts of money with no real thought as to how they have conjured up those figures.
I'm not denying that having an infestation of cockroaches is horrible and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone. If as you say you had to buy new carpets and white goods from your own pocket as a consequence of this then yes, you should be reimbursed for this. However, you seem to have arrived at a figure grasped from the ether. Some of the posts seem to suggest that we aren't getting the whole truth, I haven't gone back over your previous posts but I struggle to see why you would do nothing about this other than complain. Where did your guestimate of a thousand pounds come from??
As for your asthma. You say your attacks increased by 900% I assume this means you had 10 rather than the 1 you had the previous year. If these really were true asthma attacks, you were presumably hospitalised. If not you may struggle to prove any adverse effects on your health.
Finally. If you claim for this money, where do you think it will come from (should you win)? It will come straight from council funds and hence, reduce the amount of money available for keeping people who don't have the money for their own houses with a roof over their head.
As a final thought, maybe if you hadn't accrued all your catalogue debt, you would have been able to afford either your own place or to have your little infestation dealt with properly.Just started comping - 1/12/08 - keep your fingers crossed!0 -

No i didn't suffer from E-coli or all the other diseases, i asked to be moved out of the flat and got a standard "No" from them time and again. I was wondering if there was a standard £££ amount on it but can't seem to find one, then again, my6 neighbours have kids and they were complaining that these roaches were crawling on them at night, i do not know any compensation value for all other people in the block affected by this issue either.
By saying asthma went up 900% i mean i was getting 2 or 3 attacks a year at most, but this last year i have had like 12 or more, thats how it went up.
Thanks, makes a change from the usual cowards on here just posting their B.S.
Owed out = lots. :cool:0
