Help and advice please concerning wrongful arrest at ASDA

Hi I was arrested in Nov 2009 about theft and the police took no further action. Being a former asda security officer I know the gaurd and manager did'nt use proper methods and procedure and they arrested me without substancial evidence hence the NFA. Now I wrote to asda the day after and they said they will get in contact asap. All I asked for was an apology and my ban receeded and still I had no response s come begining of February I wrote back to which I got the response one of the arresting managers said that they followed procedures and its up to the police what they do not Asda we are sorry for the inconvienece. I am not happy they clearly have'nt taken me seriously and being the fact I raised the issue before all evidence of the incident should be kept until the matter is resolved and I know if that evidence was to be reviewed then I will be proven to be correct which I doubt they have now. I am stressed through this its not like its a hard task all I want is an apology and my ban receeded and an answer as to why I was arrested with no evidence. I don't know where I can go from here but I don't want this to happen to anyone else what can I do can anyone help!?

Did you have a plastic gun in your hand or maybe you were just sampling how you could easy fit that there tin of beans in your coat pocket, just to see if it would fit, but always put it back on the shelf and so were not stealing anything??

Seems very strange to me as you have gave no details, and if you were a security guard i expect you would know what to do next.

  • My partner said she took the £3.50 magazine but I know it did'nt scan and the operator did'nt point it out I was just standing to the side whilst she scanned and helped her carry the bags out. With me being a security officer I can point out where they went wrong which was everything, its how to advance from a legal point because they are'nt taking me serously and clearly think they can get away treating me like this:mad:

    You've posted on this before....

  • As it's private property they can ban anyone that they don't want there. Hoodies etc without needing any reason - even if they don't like the look of your face.

Whilst you may get an apology being allowed in store is not a right, it is a privilege and yours has apparantly been withdrawn. You can ask nicely but they don't have to oblige.

What do you actually want to happen? You say you didn't steal anything. The police agree. Shop somewhere else. Asda are !!!!!! anyway.

You said 'i know it didnt scan' so if you knew it didnt scan, why didnt you point it out then, that would have shown your honesty. As it is you have just shown how dishonest you are.

Asda have done nothing to apologise for in my opinion.
You have nowhere to go with this.
