Twitter on 3 Mobile

I've just received a text from 3 Mobile saying that Twitter is free to use on my phone until 31st March.
I thought as it is just another social networking site it would be treated as the rest, i.e. free to use as part of my "unlimited downloads" internet contract.
I'm not bothered as I only use it to check for train disruptions, and will delete it from bookmarks if it's going to start costing me, but wondered how they can single out one website to charge for when all the rest are free.
Any 3 reps around who could explain?

You actually only send and recieve data. I would be surprised they meassure it differntly.
Took me a wee while to adapt to twitter, but I am loving it. Not tweeting so much myself, more using it for news and staff.0 -
I got that too, I think it was sent out to all customers, it does not really apply to people who have unlimited internet anyway.Bogof_Babe wrote: »I've just received a text from 3 Mobile saying that Twitter is free to use on my phone until 31st March.
You weren't expecting Three customer services to be competent and only send it to relevant people were you.:D0 -
Lol, fair point Mark. I did go back into the shop when I first started using my phone, 'cos on certain sites I was getting a pop-up reminding me that downloads cost £2 per mb or some such thing. They told me to ignore it.
So I'll ignore the Twitter thing too then
.
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe
