Yet ANOTHER post about Vodafones poor service

I will keep this as simple and short as possible.

Took out a 24 month contract with vodafone (Blackbery 9700)via the internet on the 22nd Jan and received phone on the 25th.

I called 44555 to find out how many minutes I had before I made calls as I took out my contract in the middle of the month but this information was 'unavailable'. I called up and they said they dont know. I had to made phonecalls worth about 1 hr and sent 13 text messages and received my bills about 5 days after the advised time and had been charged for these calls. Got those costs refunded as it wasnt my fault they were unable to advice me on my minutes and texts.

Now my phone has been crashing, switching off, will not let me use the internet even though I have full reception, nor will it let me use Wifi (and I have connected it to my home signal). I am unable to ping. Vodaphone said it was the phone, and i can get it exchanged for a brand new handset. But I have to send an email as they cannot put me through to the department. I called up, nothing has been received.

Another call was made to speak to someone else (This Monday) and she organised the delivery of a new handset on the phone for the proposed date of today, i then received a text a few mins later saying this cannot be done as i never bought the contract via the phone but via the online services so use the number that appears online (no number), so another call was made to them on Tuesday, they arranged delivery for today between 8am and 11am. Nothing has arrived. I have called up with the refence number I was given and they have no record of the delivery for today.

I have a brick phone, no services, but im due to pay my bill on the 23rd. Can I not cancel the contract because this is outrageous
