OK Catford, heres a MTC masterclass for you

Here is a snapshot of my desktop


To open SmileyXtra and set the options, do the following
on the extreme upper right, click on the Smiley4 symbol
this should have opebed the toolbar on the RH side
from this toolbar, now click on the Smiley 4 symbol again
now click on options.
from the options menu, set up your SmileyXtra options to be the same as mine.
To search for a category, click on the downwards arrow in the RH column and find the category that suits your needs, in this case "Angry".
Click on the 2nd item on the left (it looks like a square with a magnifying glasss) and this allows you to view all of your selection.
Find the Smiley you like and from the RH column,double click the description that corresponds to it (do not click on the Smiley itself)
Return to your text and right click to paste and you're sorted.
Alternatively, do not search by category, and instead put a word into the "search" box (at the very bottom) and hit enter - then double click & paste in the same way.
If like me, you have a few smileys that you use a lot, you have a crafty shortcut.
From the list on the right, find the one that you like and right click, this brings up a sub menu where you can assign 4 x favourite Smileys.
Then it is just a simple job of right clicking whilst in a forum post and bringing up your sub-menu and inserting one of your favourite smileys.

TBH, the more you use it, the easier it is.
