carphone warehouse (mobiles.co.uk)
Hi all sorry if this is in the wrong section, wernt sure where to post it.
At the start of January I got a Blackberry on contract with Orange from mobiles.co.uk part of the carphone warehouse and also got a month free insurance and free month with something called TMTI (a gadget helpline or something) In the email I got confirming everything it said I would get a welcome letter with policy numbers for TMTI and my phone insurance. These never arrived and I emailed mobiles.co.uk who gave me a number to ring and a policy number, when I rang it was an automated service and said the policy number was wrong, so I went online to try and again it said the policy number was wrong. I rang back the number and waited to be put through to an operator but got the message "all operators are busy at present" and then it hang up. I emailed mobiles.co.uk again telling them the problem and they sent me an email saying I can confirm the policy number is "........." but this number was different to the original one I got. I have tried ringing through to cancel the insurance and TMTI and eventually got through last Sunday but then the insurance said that the first month had already been took out and I could not get a refund and on Monday I got charged £18 for the TMTI whcih is for 6 months.
I am just wondering if there is someway I can claim this money back, I dont need the insurance cover as I have it with my bank and I dont want some gadget helpline that I am never going to use.
Thanks Danny

Hi there,
Sorry that it sounds like you've had a bad experience; please drop me an email (ben at mobiles) with your order number and I'll make sure you're refunded the insurance, as it sounds like we somehow gave you the wrong policy number.
FYI both can be cancelled simply by cancelling the applicable DD Mandate with your bank.
TMTI is a separate service to the insurance and can be cancelled by phoning them, their contact details are here:
