Valentines flowers for men

Options
Please tell me, or is it just my OH, does anyone on here have a male partner/husband/boyfriend who likes to get flowers. I have ordered some for him for Valentines as I know he will love them.

I seem to only see on here ppl writing about buying flowers for us girlies!!

It wasn't for Valentine's, but my sister and I have sent flowers to my dad before, and he loved getting them. It wasn't a bouquet, it was an arrangement in a small tin "bath". It was following my mum's funeral in December, so we chose an arrangement with spring flowers, for looking forward, and it was lovely
  • Have to say that I would find flowers an odd gift, but would be chuffed at the thought and never let on.

My OH really likes orchids so we usualy have at least one plant in flower in the house at any one time - bought by me as a gift for him, but appreciated by both of us.

    NOT for Valentine's Day though.

I think that has turned into a moneymaking opportunity for the card shops, florists and supermarkets - and I refuse to play ball.

No personal experience but I would suspect any man who likes gardening would enjoy flowers as a gift.

Personally I would hate to receive flowers as a gift and the OH knows me well enough not to even bother to try. Much better something useful like a can of WD40...

I once bought my OH flowers. They were completely unappreciated and he told me he wasn't bothered about getting them. Never done that again LOL!

    If I got him a a Valentine four-pack of Guinness I'm sure he'd appreciate that though:D

My DH likes flowers, but prefers potted plants that we can watch die slowly over a period of time and with much effort over cut flowers which go within a fortnight and with no help ;)

Not for Valentines, but just as a no reason present I got him a jasmine recently. He loves them and he knows its for him as I'm not keen on the very strong scent ....

he's also after some plants for his new office....not sure what to get him though...
