Orange users - has anyone managed to upgrade to an I-Phone handset?

I am due a handset upgrade in a months time and you can browse your upgrades now. The Iphone isn't in that selection!

I have read some other forums that they will not upgrade your handset to a I-phone!!!???

I have a great deal on my line rental etc and I really want an I-phone!

Has anyone successfully upgraded their handset to an I-phone? ive heard if you say you are going to leave them they may offer it? Knowing my luck they will call my bluff and I will be left with nothing!!

You can upgrade to an iphone by going onto your account and clicking on the seperate iphone section. Within the page is a "already with orange? click here" button which gives instructions. However, you will not receive any discount what so ever meaning, full price handset, full price (as new customer) contract and no free bolt on's regardless of existing loyalty. So in that sense, you can't "upgrade" as such if you see what I mean.
