V6 has the same prices as V5, just an extra 1% discount.
How do we play their game, I presume the time you are stuffed by the prices is on the final bill, when no discount is applied.
Can you submit meter readings and generate a bill, then a week later switch, so there is only the time it takes to switch which is at their full price?0 -

I've been wondering this too. I have been put off switching to Eon because of this and the only thing I can suggest is to terminate during the summer months when, in my case anyway, bill are much smaller, so lessening the blow from loss of discount. For instance having to lose a discount of 25% on 150 (Summer bill) is a lot better than losing a discount of 25% on 400 (winter bill).0 -
Just to add to my previous thread, you would have to be out of your discount cancellation fee period , of course.0

Nice one!
And I agree, there should be NO ambiguity in the contract. I have just changed from fixonline3 to fixonline6, and it seems wrong that I now have to wait to see if Eon decide to charge me £30 or not.
I've just done exactly the same - moved from v3 to v6 - and was told that I would not be charged £30 because I am shifting within the same product (FixOnline) and not changing to another tariff. Bit sad to lose my Clubcard points but hopefully the savings on fuel will outweigh them.0 -

The tricky part is trying to time the switch with the time you receive your last bill. Apparently it takes about six weeks.0
