Advice Needed - Taking Retailer to small claims court and defamation of character

    It wasn't a warranty though. It was an insurance policy and it wasnt a breakdown. It was damage.

    They are entitled to investigate any claim they want. If the OP isn't happy he should complain, demand a final resolution letter and then consult the ombudsman.

    I suspect he has his knickers in a twist and it will be sorted with a simple call.

    Have another read, there is no damage and there own service team and store says there is no damage

    OP describes equipment failure. Company alleges damage. So it was NOT damage, if you are going to be picky, it was alleged damage. And a complaint of equipment failure from the OP

    I think they need evidence of something more than a claim being made within a short period of the [STRIKE]insurance policy[/STRIKE] service agreement being taken out

    If you think you are right and they are in breach of contract, then issue proceedings.

    DO NOT mention defamation of character in your Claim Form.
