 I cancelled on 02/02/2010 (returned to BT as they advised) and service stopped. Called Tiscali (TalkTalk) to cancel same day. Told everything gone thru. Get an e-mail from Tiscali today with latest bill. Charged Line rental £0.00. BB £17. Bill period up to 28/02/2010.
Of course I didn't expect them to go away quietly but...
Talk Talk really are the biggest pile of puss.
I certainly won't be paying for something I aint got so looks like another call to their pathetically named customer services...grrr!
How does this company get away with?

Aren't you on 30 days notice though, in which case you'd need to be upto 04/03/10 give or take a day?Nice to save.0

No, I cancelled as per TalkTalk instructions to call on the day BT took over phone line. Tiscali BB stopped when this happened. I phoned talktalk and was told that the account was cancelled. The operator even kept me waiting longer on the line 'just to confirm that everything had gone thru and I wont get any further charges from that day'. Yeah right!
Talktalk really are the pits. Why anyone would want to sign up to save a few quid with them is beyond me. Another call tomorrow (luckily I now get free 0845/0870 calls from BT).
Happily with O2 BB now.....:j0
