MSE News: Rail strike: your rights if your train is cancelled

amiehall I feel your pain on this! I would email them straight away a refund request and get them to confirm there will not be any admin charges, I'm not sure that the station would give you a refund if you didn't buy the tickets directly with them, but could always ask the question.
Update on my earlier post - I spoke with National Rail this morning who advised me (after some deliberation) that I CAN travel on 5th April as long as I catch the same time train. Interestingly the guy told me that the Trainline were possibly trying to get me to rebook tickets so that they could make money out of me (same train is now £130) but as the journey is run by Virgin, it is Virgin's travel guidelines which matter, not what the Trainline say. So fingers crossed!0 -
