Do I buy an I-Phone now or wait for the new one??

My contract comes to an end next month and I am contemplating buying a new phone. Question is do I jump in now and get the 3GS or do I wait for the I-Phone 4 that is rumoured to come out in the summer (when every I-phone user is tied to a contract)? I so want an I-phone but not sure if I can wait !! Help!!

Apple do not tend to discount hardware to get rid of it, it just gets recalled., you'll find that the 3G will vanish, the 3GS will come down to the level the 3GS is now.

The 4G will probably be launched in Jule / July at the developers conference, it will probably be in peoples mits towards the middle of the 3rd quarter, and will be the premium product.

Question is knowing that, and it will only likely be free on a 24month £45 or more contract, (jsut like the current 3gs) how much do you want to wait and see vs get something now. Only you can answer that.

Personally I'm waiting for the new one (for the few months it'll be).
I'll be getting it on payg as the contract prices are going to through the roof, I'd have thought. . .
  • Yeah i can't decide, as my contract finishes next week.

Think i'm just gonna takethe plunge and get one now, try and get £30 a month 16gb refurb, 500min 600texts and in 18months time get a 4g as doubt they'll give me a 12month contract?

That's 4G as in generation 4 rather than network 4g.
